We were adding 2 amounts of coins, some of us were adding 2 digit numbers together.
We had to work in a group of 2 or 3 and 1 person had to run as fast as they could and get a number sentence from a hoop and take it back to their partner. We then had to work it out together on a whiteboard. Some of us used fingers, partitioning, adding ones then tens in our heads.
We had to see how many we could do in 5 minutes and then we tried to beat our score!
We think it was much more fun than doing it inside! :)
